21 New Features of Windows 10 October 2018 Features Update - You Must Know!

Microsoft will release a major Windows 10 October 2018  update with many new features. For those of you who are curious about what is Windows 10 October 2018 updates and what are the new features, here are 21 new feature of  Windows 10 October 2018 updates 

1. Dark File Explorer Mode

The first new feature is Dark Mode in File Explorer. So if in the previous version of Windows 10, even though there is a Dark Mode, File Explorer doesn't have Dark Mode. But now if you activate Dark Mode, then the File Explorer follow-up appears dark. In other words the Dark Mode experience of Windows 10 becomes more complete in October 2018 Update.

2. Clipboard History

Second new feature, Windows 10 October 2018 Update now has Clipboard History that can be synchronized between PCs. So what do you copy on one PC, can you paste it directly on another PC. For Clipboard access history you just have to press the Windows + V key combination, then the Clipboard list popup will appear before you copy, and just select which one you want to paste.

By default this feature is non-active, so first activate Clipboard History via Settings . You can also enable the Sync accross devices option, so that you copy on one PC you can paste on your other PC.
In the future, Microsoft will embed this feature in Swiftkey, so what you copy from your cellphone, tablet or PC can all be integrated and integrated into one.

3. Snip & Sketch

The third new feature, Windows 10 now comes with Snip & Sketch. So if you press Windows + Shift + S , you can just take a screenshot, and just click the floating window to edit the mark up. Here you can doodle, give a sign, do cropping, even draw with the help of a ruler and bow. This feature is optimal if your PC touch screen, but if not you can still use it with a mouse or trackpad.

4. SMS from PC / Laptop

The fourth new feature is Your Phone application. With this application you should be able to read and send SMS directly from the PC. Then continue browsing from the mobile to the PC, even viewing the 25 most recent photos that you take on your cellphone, to be accessed and used directly from your PC.
But for now, on my Windows 10 October 2018 RTM update, my Phone feature cannot be used yet. I have linked the cellphone to a PC, but it hasn't detected it too.
So later I will update the information once this feature is active and can be used, while sharing tips and tutorials.
To be able to use this feature, Microsoft Launcher or Your Phone Companion must be installed on your Android phone - and for iPhone users, because there are limits from Apple, then not all of your Phone features can be enjoyed on Android, you can enjoy on the iPhone.

5. Swiftkey

The fifth new feature, if you use a Windows tablet - or Windows 10 Tablet Mode, the default Windows keyboard touch 10 October 2018 is SwiftKey. So, SwiftKey has been bought by Microsoft since 2016, and now it's also embedded into Windows 10. With Swiftkey you can type with typing swipe on Windows, but for Text Suggestion and autocorrect, it support  English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.

6. Search Preview

The sixth new feature, now the look of Windows Search is overhauled by adding previews. So if you search for certain keywords, the Bing preview will appear. Likewise, if you search for installed applications, some menus will be displayed. And if you find the application has not been installed - the Install App menu will appear to install it through the Store.

7. Edge browser

The seventh new feature, there is a myriad of changes in the Edge browser. First, if you notice, there are some new touches on Edge's browser design, such as the shadow that makes the depth effect look more pronounced, then if you open the menu settings, the settings are grouped into categories, so it's easy to set the settings you are looking for, and settings - now you can set media autoplay. If you select Allow it means that autoplay media is still running, if you choose a limit , it means that only the media autoplay that is mute will still run, and if you select block itmeans that there is no media autoplay that will run.
You can also do this autoplay setting per website by clicking on the icon on the left of the website URL, then managing it via manage permissions. Later the mediua autoplay permission will be custom, for each of these websites.
Then when you use to read PDF, now you can add notes and annotations too. This is interesting if you want to enter certain graphics when reading an ebook or other PDF file.
And if you open reading view, now there are Learning Tools with Text Options that you can set, what kind of look and color you want to look at. Then there is also Line Focus, to focus text on just one, three, or five lines according to the settings.

8. Display

The eighth feature, in terms of appearance, you can find some minor changes like the border window now no longer in the form of color, but shadow, to give depth effects, according to the concept in Fluent Design. Popup menus and context menus also have shadows, but unfortunately the shadow design is still not aligned between the application window and menu context, so if in the application window you will find a soft shadow like this, in the context of a hard shadow menu like this.
You can also touch the acrylic design on several other Windows 10 corners such as the Timeline and other Windows default applications. Please explore and you will find display updates here and there.

9. Notepad Update

The ninth feature, finally Notepad was overhauled with lots of new features. First Notepad now supports Line Breaks from Linux and Mac, so text files from Linux and Mac that used to be messy when opened in Notepad because they don't detect Line Breaks, now they look neat as they should.
Then now you can search for words with Bing in Notepad, just right-click it and select Search with Bing.
Besides that you can zoom the text now, either from the View Menu > Zoom , or use the CTRL + Plus shortcut and CTRL + Minus to zoom in and zoom out. While to return to normal, just press CTRL + 0 .
Next in the Find and Replace feature, now you can just check the Wrap Around option to search or replace all text contents. Previously you could only search for and replace anything below the cursor or above the cursor. If you want to find and replace all text contents, you must place the cursor above. Now with the Wrap Around option checked, you can place the cursor anywhere to search and replace in all parts of the text in Notepad.
Notepad will also remember the settings and text that you type, so that once your Find and Replace dialog opens again, all previous contents and options will immediately be displayed.
Besides that, now the row number and column are still displayed even though Notepad has you word wrap. And this status bar is active by default.

10. Power Usage in the Task Manager

The tenth feature, if you open the Task Manager , Power Usage and Power Usage Trend arenow added Both of you can check to monitor power usage, to know what applications consume a lot of battery, and how the power usage trend by the application.

11. Install Font

Eleventh feature, if you install Font, now you can install it for that user account or for all. So now to install the font it doesn't have to be from an administrator account. Even from a regular account, you only need administrator access if you want to install the font on all user accounts.

12. Text Size

The twelfth feature, on Windows 10 October 2018 Update, you can make the text display in all parts of Windows bigger. You can set it in Settings> Ease of Access> Display> and set the slider to change the text size.

13. RIP Disk Cleanup

14. Regedit Autocomplete

The fourteenth feature, this is really useful for those of you who like Windows, because the Registry Editor has now added the Autocomplete feature to make it easier for you to find the registry string that you are looking for.

15. HDR support

The fifteenth feature, this is useful for those of you who use a large resolution monitor, for example 4K with HDR support, Windows 10 now has special options for this HDR setting in Settings> Display> Windows HD Color. Here you will be shown a screen to support HDR for anything, from video streams, games, applications, etc.
You can also set when Windows plays HDR content, whether it is more focused on battery life or image quality.

16. Windows Security

The sixteenth feature, now Windows Defender Security Center is renamed to be more simple, namely Windows Security . There are a number of new security features added, one of which is if you activate the anti-ransomware feature, Controlled Folder Access , you can easily manage any applications that can have access to the folder.
This makes it easy for you to keep protecting data from ransomware, but still allows certain applications to access it so that the application's functions are not interrupted.

17. AI Restart

Seventeenth feature, finally suffering using Windows will be treated. So if in the past Windows often restarted the update at inappropriate times, such as a news broadcast PC that suddenly updates amid live news, or PC score basketball that suddenly updates in the middle of a match, even you may have found a PC that arrived - restart the update during the test compre or presentation in front of the class.

18. Automatic Focus Assist

The eighteenth feature, Focus Assist or the name for the Do Not Disturb feature on Windows, will automatically activate when you play any full screen game. So you won't be bothered by various notifications when playing games on Windows 10.

19. New Emoji

The nineteenth feature, Windows 10 October Update has included 157 emojis from Unicode 11, and some of them are new emojis that did not exist in the previous version. You can just press Windows + point to open the emoji panel on Windows, and explore various new emojis, including superhero emojis, teddy bears, etc.

20. Linux Shell menu in Explorer

The twentieth feature, if you install bash Linux on Windows 10, now from File Explorer you can directly run Linux Shell. Just hold down Shift + right click , then the Open Linux Shell Hereoption will appear , and Linux bash will open in that folder.

21. Copy Paste Bash

The twenty-first feature, now you can copy paste in Bash Linux Windows 10. But this feature is not active by default, so just activate it by right-clicking the title bar> properties> and selecting the Use Ctrl + Shift + C / V as Copy Paste option .
After that you can copy the shortcut command by pressing CTRL + Shift + C and paste command with Ctrl + Shift + V .
